Cheap viral for Ubisoft using Pamphlets, Twitter, Instagram, and Facebook

Have you heard of Ubisoft’s Lost Tomahawk campaign? Assassin’s Creed is a famous game amongst first-person shooter fanatics. Everybody who likes gaming knows about Connor and his quest for justice. So we put up really scruffy A4 pamphlets across the main cities in the Netherlands, saying someone had lost a tomahawk. With the addition of a hashtag, fans instantly knew it was a sign.

It went viral.

Within two days, over 100 tweets with a picture of the pamphlet found their way to the internet, reaching over 30,000 Twitter followers. They knew that the new Assassin’s Creed was coming soon.
